Pearly Gates

Pearly Gates has to do with Heaven, and nobody will get in who does not have the salvation of Jesus Christ.
Independent artists need to have their names known and so do we to get into Heaven.

Pearly Gates is an expression we often hear of in relation to Heaven and many a joke has been made up about them, mostly about St Peter stopping people wanting to enter Heaven to check whether they are on the list, or even about St Peter being conned to go and check again, and when he gets back the gates are gone.

So what proof is there that there are any pearly gates? Or whether St Peter sits there checking the records as to whether people can enter or not?

You may be asking me as to what reason do pearly gates have to do with a music website? Well I can answer that two ways. Music For Dummies is part of Arke Promotions and part of Arke Ministries. Then the second answer is that

I came across a Perley Curtis among the albums listed on this site.I got to thinking about pearly gates simply by reading his name. Also our ministry website here.

So first of all I looked to see if Perley Curtis turned up on a specific type of web search, but he did not, so I typed in pearly gates, and sure enough that came up fine. It makes you wonder why nobody thought to use the name Pearly Gates, seeing we have a Bill Gates. So I did not find a song or a person using that name “Pearly Gates”, though that does not mean that they do not exist, you see I could not find Perley Curtis either.

The interesting thing is that I was able to take those pearly gates, that is the picture above, from off my search for pearly gates.

I am sure you are now asking what is the point of this story about Pearly Gates? Well there are two points to it. The first point is to those independent artists who would want to succeed in the music industry. The real issue is that unless you must make your name known out there you will not be found.

Now all of this is quite interesting because in relation to the second answer, which is unless you make your name known to God, you will not be found on His list either to enter through those Pearly Gates.

So to get rid of confusion that exists over those pearly gates and Heaven, you will note there are twelve and there is no St Peter to man any of them, he has better things to do than try to be at twelve gates all at the same time.

We only have now while we are on earth to qualify to enter those pearly gates, no one will ever get even near to them who does not already qualify. That is why we are called to find the pearl of greatest worth. We need to accept the salvation that God has for us by believing in our hearts that Jesus Christ, God’s Son has already born our sins for us on the cross, and receive His salvation.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.
